Wursta is looking for a creative and driven Marketing Communications Associate to help inform, develop, and execute coordinated marketing communications that increase brand exposure and generate sales leads. This role will focus on creating engaging thought leadership content that drives traffic to Wursta’s website and leads to articles in target publications. 


This is an excellent opportunity to learn about integrating a content marketing & PR strategy, the Google Partner ecosystem, WordPress, marketing automation, and much more while developing a marketing content and PR strategy that has a direct impact on company success. This position is ideally located at our offices in Austin, TX, although a remote work option will be considered for the right candidate.


Responsibilities:  

  • Work with Director of Marketing and company leadership to craft a content marketing and PR strategy then set goals for execution
  • Write/edit thought leadership content with input from our subject matter experts
  • Identify target journalists and thought leaders then foster relationships with them
  • Develop story pitches and conduct targeted press outreach
  • Track media mentions and report on their impact
  • Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, website, and other marketing collateral



Requirements & Experience:

  • Marketing, Journalism, PR, or Communications Degree
  • Loves to write and has good editorial skills
  • Not afraid of cold outreach to press
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Driven and hard-working with creative problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of G Suite and/or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
  • Eligible to work in the United States
